The Ficus Bambino is the dwarf version of the Fiddle Leaf Fig carrying smaller sized leaves. It's extremely compact, upright with a branching nature. With its lighter veining and rich green leaves, it has become the new 'it' house plant. They're a good choice for a houseplant beginner. They're easy to look after and require little maintenance.

Pot diameter: Approximately 35cm tall from bottom of pot to top leaf. The plant is sold in a plastic 14cm grow pot and available in a decorative pot.

PLANT CARE & INFO

Light levels: Ficus Bambinos require bright, indirect light to grow and look their best. They don't like hot direct sun, this will burn the leaves.

Watering: The Ficus Bambino likes its soil to be kept consistently evenly moist, with a brief drying out period between waterings. Too little water and the leaves will loose their deep green colour and wilt. Too much water and it can cause the leaves to drop. During the growing season (spring to autumn), water your bambino when the top inch of soil feels dry. And over the winter months, water slightly less.

Temperature: Thrives in temperatures between 16-29 degrees and loves humidity.

Feeding: Use a high-nitrogen plant food throughout the spring and summer months.

Growing: In the right conditions, this Fiddle Leaf Fig is a reasonably fast growing plant which can reach up to 1 - 2 metres in height. Will grow towards the light, a good idea to rotate the plant.

Toxicity: These plants are considered toxic if ingested so it’s important to keep them away from children and pets.

Air purifying: With its lush green leaves, this plant is a great air purifier which helps to eliminate toxins from the home.
